  • Product description

Seven commonly used medical plastics are polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS) and K resin, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polycarbonate (PC), and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). After the general plastics are synthesized, they come out of the synthesis tower of large petrochemical plants and are flour like powders, which cannot be used to directly produce products. This is why people often say that the composition of fat extracted from tree sap is the same, Also called resin or powder, it is a pure plastic with poor fluidity, low thermal stability, easy aging and decomposition, and is not resistant to environmental aging.

In order to improve the above defects, heat stabilizer, anti-aging agent, anti UV agent, plasticizer, etc. are added into the resin powder, and after granulation modification, its fluidity is increased, so as to produce plastic varieties with special properties and different brands suitable for various processing processes. The plastic materials commonly used by medical device manufacturers are plastic particles that can be directly used after modification. For products with special performance that are not available in the market, the instrument factory can introduce granulation production lines to process and produce plastic granules through different formula designs. Therefore, there are many brands of the same plastic variety, which can be classified according to the processing method, including injection molding grade, extrusion grade and blow film grade; According to the performance, there are high rigidity, toughening, etc.

The components in the plastic materials cannot be separated into the liquid medicine or the human body, and will not cause toxicity and damage to tissues and organs, which is non-toxic and harmless to the human body. The basic requirements of medical plastics are chemical stability and biological safety due to contact with liquid medicine or human body.
