The mechanical system consists of machine tool bed, coordinate workbench, wire conveying mechanism, wire rack mechanism, taper mechanism, lubrication system, etc. The machine tool bed is usually a box type structure, which is the installation platform for various components and is closely related to the accuracy of the machine tool. The coordinate worktable is usually composed of cross carriage, rolling guide, screw motion pair, gear transmission mechanism, etc. It is mainly the relative movement with the electrode wire to complete the processing of the workpiece. The wire conveying mechanism is composed of a wire storage cylinder, a motor, a gear pair, a transmission mechanism, a reversing device, an insulating part, etc. The motor and the wire storage cylinder are connected and rotated to drive the electrode wires to move at a certain linear speed, and the electrode wires are neatly wound on the wire storage cylinder. The cable rack is divided into single column cantilever type and double column gantry type. The single column cantilever type is divided into upper and lower arms. Generally, the lower arm is fixed, and the upper arm can be lifted and moved. The guide wheel is installed on the wire rack to support the motor wire. The taper mechanism can be divided into swing type and cross carriage type structures. The swing type is completed by rotating the upper and lower arms through a lever, which is generally used in large taper machines. The cross carriage type is completed by moving to make the electrode wire stretch, which is generally applicable to small taper machine. The lubrication system is used to alleviate the wear of parts, improve mechanical efficiency and reduce power loss. It can cool, inhibit corrosion, absorb vibration and reduce noise.
