Processing steps of sheet metal parts:

Generally speaking, the three important steps of sheet metal factory Z are cutting. Stamping/cutting and folding sheet metal are sometimes called sheet metal. This word comes from sheet metal in English. Generally speaking, some metal plates are pressed by hand or die to produce plastic deformation to form the required shape and size, while more complex parts can be formed by welding or a small amount of mechanical processing, such as chimneys, tin furnaces and car shells commonly used in families. Sheet metal processing is called sheet metal processing. Specifically, for example, use plates to manufacture chimneys, iron drums, oil tanks, oil kettles, vent pipes, large and small ends of elbows, circular positions, funnels, etc. The main processes include shearing, bending, edge buttoning, bending forming, welding, riveting, etc., which requires some geometric knowledge.

Sheet metal parts are sheet metal parts, which can be processed by stamping, bending, stretching and other methods. The general definition is the part with constant thickness during machining. The corresponding parts are casting parts, forging parts, machining parts, etc. For example, the iron shell outside the car is a sheet metal part, while some stainless steel kitchen utensils are also sheet metal parts.

Common problems and causes in sheet metal processing and stamping parts processing

1. Burr: Excess materials are not completely left during stamping or chamfering, and burrs appear under the steel plate section. When the height of the burr is greater than 0.2mm according to the section, the iron powder will damage the mold and produce convex concave.

2. Convex and concave: The material surface is unusually convex and concave, which is due to the uncoiling line.

3. It is caused by mixing of foreign matters (iron filings and dust) in. Roll mark: It is caused by foreign matters attached to the cleaning roll or the feeding roll (fixed pitch). Generally speaking, the foreign matters printed on the paper can be removed.

4. Slip mark: due to roller.

5. When the roller suddenly stops or accelerates, there will be slip marks. The roll crushing may cause edge wrinkling: the guide roll on the uncoiling line may wrinkle due to the small gap between the guide rolls on the mold, which is due to the roll.

6. It is caused by unbalanced feeding of. Scratch: The main reason for scratches on parts is that there are sharp scars or metal dust falling into the mold. The preventive measures are to polish the scar on the mold and remove the metal dust.

7. Bottom crack: the main reason for the bottom crack of the part is the poor plasticity of the material or the die blank holder is pressed too tightly. The preventive measure is to replace the material with good plasticity or loosen the blank holder.

8. Side wall wrinkling: The main reason for the side wall wrinkling of parts is that the material thickness is not enough (if it is relatively small, the thickness is allowed to be thin) or the eccentricity occurs during the installation of upper and lower molds, resulting in a large gap on one side and a small gap on the other side. The preventive measure is to immediately replace the material and readjust the mold.
